The Baltimore Ravens<\/a> have officially fired long-time head coach John Harbaugh, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media.<\/p>\n

“The Ravens fired John Harbaugh, sources tell The Insiders,” Pelissero reports<\/a>. “The Ravens are holding a meeting now to inform staff. After 18 seasons, John Harbaugh is out in Baltimore.”<\/p>\n

Harbaugh was the second-longest tenured head coach in the NFL behind his former AFC North rival Mike Tomlin with the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>, who is in his 19th season with Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Titans should hire John Harbaugh<\/p>\n

There are currently six head coaching vacancies, not counting Baltimore, and all of them are almost certain to give Harbaugh a call. The Tennessee Titans<\/a> are no different, and should absolutely be on the phone as soon as possible to schedule an interview with the Super Bowl champion head coach.<\/p>\n

Much like his brother Jim, Harbaugh has proven he is a reliable stabilizer, and stability is what the Titans need right now, as well as a proven winner to lead the room, and to lead Cam Ward in the right direction.<\/p>\n

In terms of potential assistants that could join Harbaugh, Chuck Pagno could follow him to his next destination as his defensive coordinator. Offensively, perhaps he looks to his brother’s staff with the Chargers<\/a> and snags Shane Day. There are plenty of options and possibilities that could come with Harbaugh being the next man under the headset in Tennessee. And while a younger name may be preferred by some, and understandably so, bringing in a proven winner is never a bad route to go.<\/p>\n
