One of the most important of Tuesday’s news cycle involves a former Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> assistant. John Harbaugh has been fired<\/a>. He leaves the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> after leading them for nearly two decades.<\/p>\n Around these parts, we’ve been busy talking about the Birds in Philadelphia, but The Flock in Baltimore has been equally fascinating. Their story involves a 30th-anniversary campaign, disappointment, and ultimately a loss in the NFL’s final regular-season game<\/a>. That eliminates them from postseason contention.<\/p>\n Harbaugh has been on the hot seat all season and is now unemployed, but he won’t be for long. ESPN’s top NFL insider Adam Schefter reports that at least seven teams have inquired about his services. That includes one team that hasn’t fired its head coach yet<\/a>.<\/p>\n Might the Giants<\/a> be an interested party for John Harbaugh’s services?<\/p>\n What does this have to do with the NFC East, you ask? Schefter released his report on that also.<\/p>\n John Harbaugh comes from Andy Reid’s coaching tree. He spent ten seasons as the Eagles<\/a>‘ special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach. It’s sad that his tenure in Baltimore ends partially because of a special teams miscue.<\/p>\n After having spent so much time here, it isn’t shocking to find an Eagles fan who still loves him. That all goes out of the window however if he lands in Gotham as the leader of the hated Giants.<\/p>\n
