The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of interviews regarding their vacant general manager position, but could potential head coaching interviews materialize soon?<\/p>\n
Just yesterday, current Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel met with the South Florida media and intimated that his job seemed to be safe \u2014 however, a new wildcard has emerged in that department, and it\u2019s one with a very familiar name.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the Baltimore Ravens fired their longtime head coach John Harbaugh after 18 seasons with the organization. During that time, Harbaugh led the franchise to a 180-113 record, with a 13-11 record in the playoffs \u2014 including a Super Bowl victory following the 2012 season. He only had three seasons with a losing record during his tenure with the Ravens.<\/p>\n
While McDaniel is currently under contract with Miami, a social media post from NFL insider Josina Anderson has induced some raised eyebrows in Dolphins-land.<\/p>\n
While the Dolphins may be interested in speaking with John Harbaugh, they are not the only franchise interested in doing so according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.<\/p>\n
While John Harbaugh\u2019s services may be in demand, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has a long history with the Harbaugh family \u2014 once interviewing John\u2019s brother Jim while employing Tony Sparano as head coach of Miami. Ross expressed regret over how he handled that situation a decade and a half ago, so one would think that McDaniel would need to be fired before any formal interview with John Harbaugh will take place.<\/p>\n
