Sam Leavitt and his transfer portal landing spot took another wicked turn on Tuesday, as the former Arizona State quarterback will reportedly visit Tennessee<\/a> on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

This development comes with Washington\u2019s Demond Williams being linked to LSU<\/a> after just hitting the portal himself, according to CBS Sports\u2019 Matt Zenitz.<\/p>\n

Leavitt had a lengthy campus visit at LSU on Monday and was seen sitting courtside with new Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin<\/a> at a men\u2019s basketball game on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Leavitt has reportedly steered away from a potential destination, as he also visited Kentucky over the weekend. Kentucky transfer Cutter Boley<\/a> committed to ASU on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Then, Leavitt was going to pay a visit to Texas Tech but Cincinnati transfer Brendan Sorsby<\/a> committed to the Red Raiders on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Williams just re-signed with the Huskies last week before announcing Tuesday that he was entering the portal.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Pete Thamel reported<\/a> that Washington is \u201cprepared to pursue all legal avenues to enforce\u201d the signed contract. The Big Ten is also taking interest in the Williams situation, according to Thamel.<\/p>\n

Oregon also potentially looms in Leavitt\u2019s selection process as the Ducks await Indiana in Friday\u2019s College Football Playoff semifinal and QB Dante Moore has a draft decision to make following the conclusion of their season.<\/p>\n

Leavitt played his high school ball in West Linn, Oregon, which is about 100 miles north of Eugene and Duck country.<\/p>\n

Leavitt broke out in 2024 with 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns (six interceptions), adding 443 yards and five scores on the ground. Along with running back Cam Skattebo and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, Leavitt was one of the top offensive stars on a team that won the Big 12 Championship and reached the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n

His 2025 campaign was plagued by injuries as he missed ASU\u2019s Week 7 game against Utah due to a foot injury. He returned the following week against Texas Tech, throwing for more than 300 yards in an upset win.<\/p>\n

Leavitt then exited the next game against Houston twice\u00a0and later underwent season-ending foot surgery, missing the Sun Devils\u2019 last five games.<\/p>\n

He finished his redshirt sophomore campaign with 1,628 yards and 10 touchdowns (three interceptions) through the air with 300 yards and five scores on the ground.<\/p>\n

Signs of Leavitt\u2019s departure started on Nov. 18 when it was\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0his camp was shopping his services to other teams.<\/p>\n

After the season, ASU coach Kenny Dillingham\u00a0reportedly<\/a>\u00a0wished him well at the team\u2019s banquet that Leavitt did not attend.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Paolo Uggetti\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0on Dec. 9 that Leavitt informed Dillingham he intended to enter the transfer portal. He eventually did so with a \u201cdo not contact\u201d tag attached.<\/p>\n
