Indianapolis Colts’ QB Riley Leonard was nominated for an award following his Week 18 performance.<\/p>\n
Indianapolis Colts’<\/a> quarterback Riley Leonard has been nominated for the NFL’s Week 18 Rookie fo the Week.<\/p>\n Leonard made his first NFL start this past Sunday in Houston. Up against a Texans<\/a>‘ defense that entered Week 18 allowing just over 16 points per game, you can’t ask for much more than what Leonard provided.<\/p>\n Leonard finished the game completing 21-of-34 passes<\/a> for 270 yards. He and the passing game were able to generate big plays, averaging 7.9 yards per catch. Leonard threw two touchdowns and rushed for another.<\/p>\n While it wasn’t perfect, with Leonard committing three turnovers, when there was a takeaway or miscue, the rookie quarterback showcased his resiliency and often found ways to bounce back.<\/p>\n The Colts<\/a> would end up scoring 30 points against the Houston defense.<\/p>\n Along with Leonard, the other Week 18 Rookie of the Week nominees included Patriots’ running back TreVeyon Henderson, Giants<\/a>‘ quarterback Jaxson Dart, Raiders<\/a>‘ running back Ashton Jeanty, and Bears<\/a>‘ tight end Colston Loveland.<\/p>\n You can vote for the Rookie of the Week below:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Indianapolis Colts’ QB Riley Leonard was nominated for an award following his Week 18 performance.
