Cleveland parted ways with former head coach Kevin Stefanski on Monday. Monken spent one season as the Browns’ offensive coordinator in 2019.<\/p>\n
The 59-year-old Monken came to Baltimore in 2022 from the University of Georgia after winning back-to-back national championships as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n
In 2024, the Ravens became the first NFL team with over 4,000 yards passing and 3,000 yards rushing in a season. Lamar Jackson threw for more than 4,000 yards for the first time, with a career-high 41 touchdown passes and just four interceptions. Derrick Henry rushed for nearly 2,000 yards (1,921), and Baltimore averaged more than 30 points a game (30.5) for the first time since 2019. The Ravens had the league’s No. 1 offense in yardage.<\/p>\n
In Monken’s first season with the Ravens, they rose to sixth in total offense after ranking 16th in 2022, and Jackson won his second Most Valuable Player Award.<\/p>\n
This year, Baltimore ranked No. 16 in total offense and averaged 24.9 points. The unit had trouble maintaining consistency throughout games and the season and Jackson’s injuries made it more challenging.<\/p>\n
