Previously, he served in the same position with the New Orleans Saints and coached former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">He has never been a head coach before and has been an offensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings (2021), Saints (2024) and Seahawks. His offenses ranked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/coaches\/KubiKl0.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">14th, 24th and third<\/a> in points scored, respectively. He has also been the Denver Broncos\u2019 (2022) and San Francisco 49ers\u2019 (2023) passing game coordinator. Klint is the son of long-time NFL coach Gary Kubiak, who spent eight seasons leading the Houston Texans and two with the Broncos, winning Super Bowl 50 for Denver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">As noted above, the Giants, Cardinals and Falcons also requested to meet with Kubiak. He\u2019s widely considered one of the top offensive-minded head coach candidates in this cycle and should have plenty of offers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Why the Raiders are interested:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft and a need at quarterback, Las Vegas is expected to take either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbnation.com\/nfl\/1098592\/nfl-mock-draft-2026-updated-projection-first-round-qbs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Indiana\u2019s Fernando Mendoza<\/a> or Oregon\u2019s Dante Moore as the future of the franchise in April. To set Mendoza or Moore up for success, it\u2019s smart to pair the rookie QB with an offensive-minded head coach.
