{"id":661139,"date":"2026-01-07T12:55:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T12:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/661139\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T12:55:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T12:55:12","slug":"bears-get-good-news-on-potential-return-for-key-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/661139\/","title":{"rendered":"Bears get good news on potential return for key players"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chicago Bears could be getting back a key player on each side of the ball this week.<\/p>\n<p>Defensive back Kyler Gordon and offensive tackle Braxton Jones both had their 21-day practice windows opened this week, the team announced Tuesday:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have designated Kyler Gordon and Braxton Jones for return and opened the 21-day practice window<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChicagoBears\/status\/2008611452249387085?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">January 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This means both players can return to the active roster at any point in the next three weeks. If they don\u2019t activate them, they would remain on injured reserve.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously that three weeks would mean the Bears keep rolling through the playoffs, but it also means Jones and Gordon could be activated for Chicago\u2019s wild-card matchup against the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n<p>With all the injuries the Bears have gone through this season, getting key players back in the lineup just as the playoffs are starting would be a huge win.
