FORMER STEELERS COACH RETIRES<\/p>\n
The Steelers have only had three head coaches since 1969. However, they\u2019ve had plenty of other coaches on their staff in that time. That includes Tom Moore. He was with the Steelers from 1977 to 1989, working as their wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator during that time. He has had a long, illustrious NFL career, but now, it\u2019s come to an end.<\/p>\n
Tampa Bay Times reporter Rich Stroud relayed on Twitter<\/a> that Moore is retiring. He had been an offensive consultant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2019. However, Moore is calling it a career. He accomplished a lot, including winning four Super Bowls. Hopefully, he enjoys the next stage of his life.<\/p>\n Bucs senior offensive consultant Tom Moore has decided to retire after 62 years of coaching and more than 46 seasons in the NFL. That includes Yahya Black. The Steelers dealt with several defensive line injuries throughout the season. However, Black stepped up. He played in every game, including three starts. While he wasn\u2019t always perfect, Black flashed potential. He has made one change for the playoffs, though.<\/p>\n Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette<\/a> shared a picture on Twitter showing that Black dyed his hair a more golden color. Batko also stated that Black jokingly blamed it on his \u201cmidlife crisis.\u201d He\u2019s only 23 years old, so it\u2019s more like a quarterlife crisis. It will be a tough matchup.<\/a> The Texans, winners of nine consecutive games, have the best defense in the league. They\u2019ve also made a few moves leading up to their game against the Steelers.<\/p>\n
