These deals don\u2019t activate until the start of the next league season, but they prevent other teams from negotiating with the player in the meantime.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/cleveland-browns\/329\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Cleveland Browns;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Cleveland Browns<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Browns\/status\/2009693343622783101?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:announced;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">announced<\/a> that former <a href=\"https:\/\/aggieswire.usatoday.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Texas A&amp;M;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Texas A&amp;M <\/a>standout and current CFL punter Nik Constantinou will sign a future deal with the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Before arriving in <a href=\"https:\/\/aggieswire.usatoday.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Aggieland,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Aggieland,<\/a> Constantinou developed his game with the PEGS football club in his home country of Australia. He spent four seasons with the Aggies and earned the starting job in his second year, eventually becoming a two\u2011time All\u2011SEC selection. After the 2024 NFL Draft, he signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, though he was also selected by the Hamilton Tiger\u2011Cats in the CFL Draft\u2014and ultimately chose the Canadian route.<\/p>\n<p>Across two seasons with Hamilton, Constantinou averaged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/players\/nik-constantinou\/168754\/#transactions\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:47.6 yards per punt;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">47.6 yards per punt<\/a> with a long of 84 yards over 36 games. He improved his average by nearly a full yard from 2024 to 2025, showcasing both consistency and growth in the pro ranks.
