Just days after he made his professional debut for the Kansas<\/a> City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills<\/a> are bringing back a former quarterback to shore up their roster.<\/p>\n

The Bills have brought back Shane Buechele, signing him to their practice squad on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Buechele has only ever featured for two teams: the Bills and the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

As an undrafted free agent, Buechele signed with Kansas City after his college career at Texas and SMU.<\/p>\n

Buechele has been a career backup quarterback – often being signed to the practice squads of the two teams.<\/p>\n

But in Week 18, he made his professional debut with the Chiefs – completing 7-of-14 passes for 88 yards, but being sacked five times in a 14-12 loss to the Las Vegas<\/a> Raiders.<\/p>\n

The Buffalo Bills have re-signed quarterback Shane Buechele to their practice squad<\/p>\n

Buechele completed seven passes for 88 yards and was sacked five times against the Raiders<\/p>\n

He was released after the game ended, becoming a free agent before now returning to Buffalo.<\/p>\n

The Bills are back in the playoffs for the seventh straight season, but it’s the first time since 2019 that they did not win the division.<\/p>\n

Buffalo struggled (by their standards) and came second in the AFC East due to a strong performance from the upstart New England Patriots.<\/p>\n

The Bills now travel south for a Sunday afternoon AFC Wild Card matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.\u00a0<\/p>\n
