The Atlanta Falcons have named Matt Ryan<\/a> the team’s new President of Football.<\/p>\n

Ryan would spend most of his career as the Falcons’ quarterback, but he did spend his final season in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the Falcons team site<\/a>, Ryan will “oversee all aspects of Falcons football for the organization” and will report directly to owner Arthur Blank.<\/p>\n

During that 2022 season, GM Chris Ballard traded for Ryan during the offseason to provide needed help at quarterback. Ryan would appear in 12 games, completing 67%<\/a> of his passes for 3,057 yards with 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.<\/p>\n

For his career, Ryan played 15 seasons in the NFL — 14 of which came with the Falcons. He was a four-time Pro Bowler, a one-time first-team All-Pro, and he won the 2016 NFL MVP award.<\/p>\n
