It remains to be seen what the future holds for Aaron Rodgers, 42, who signed just a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> last offseason.<\/p>\n

Rodgers could decide to call it a career after Pittsburgh\u2019s postseason run, as retirement is something that he\u2019s pondered in recent years. But, if Rodgers does want to continue playing, the Steelers have made an important decision \u2013 they\u2019d like to bring him back.<\/p>\n

Steelers would like to bring back Aaron Rodgers for 2026<\/p>\n

NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirmed as much during a recent television appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy understanding is, if Rodgers did want to return for next season, the Steelers, who have really enjoyed the experience, would be more than open to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

By all accounts, Rodgers has enjoyed his time<\/a> in Pittsburgh, and the organization has enjoyed having him around. So, Rodgers returning for another season wouldn\u2019t be especially shocking, especially since Rodgers was ultimately able to lead the Steelers to the postseason.<\/p>\n

“I’ve enjoyed this experience, and everybody in Pittsburgh has been fantastic to me on and off the field,\u201d Rodgers said recently. \u201cAnd it’s really what I was hoping for this experience was, it’s been even better than I was hoping.”<\/p>\n

Rodgers also seemed to indicate that he thinks he’d be even better with another in the system.<\/p>\n

“Anytime you’re in a first-year offense, there’s always some growing pains within the offense,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cIt’s always like, you feel like, if you had another year, what you could do. \u2026 But obviously the more years you get in the system with the same guys, the more continuity you have, the better you feel like you can play.”<\/p>\n
