The NFL All-Pro first team for the 2025 season includes two Alabama<\/a> alumni who received the recognition for the first time in their careers.<\/p>\n

The Associated Press announced its annual All-Pro team on Saturday, and the first-team selections included Houston Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. <\/a> and Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From the panel of 50 media members that selected the all-stars, Anderson received 41 first-place votes and seven second-place votes for 130 points to finish second to Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett in the edge-rusher balloting. <\/p>\n

Garrett was among the three players who earned unanimous selection with 50 first-place votes, along with wide receivers Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams and Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n

Anderson is in his third NFL season as a defensive end for the Texans and recorded 12 sacks, 20 tackles for loss and 23 quarterback hits in 2025.<\/p>\n

Reichard won the fractured voting for the kicker position in his second season with the Vikings. The former Hoover High School standout garnered the most first-place votes among the eight kickers who received them. With 15 first-place votes and 10 second-place votes, Reichard totaled 55 points to finish seven ahead of runner-up Brandon Aubrey of the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n

During the 2025 season, Reichard made 33-of-35 field-goal attempts and all 31 of his extra-point kicks. He tied for the NFL lead with 11 field goals of at least 50 yards, including a 62-yarder.<\/p>\n

Players received three points for a first-team vote and one for a second-team vote. <\/p>\n

Four players with Alabama football roots made second-team All-Pro:<\/p>\n

New England Patriots punt returner Marcus Jones (Enterprise, Troy<\/a>) had 17 first-place votes and 71 points to finish second. Jones appeared on one more ballot than the first-team selection, Chimere Dike of the Tennessee Titans. Dike received 27 first-place votes and nine second-place votes. Jones had 20 second-place votes. Jones also received one second-place vote at slot cornerback to finish sixth in the balloting at that position. Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney (Alabama) had seven first-place votes and 31 points to finish tied for fourth. McKinney was a first-team selection in 2024.Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens (Hoover) had 21 first-place votes and 91 points to finish fourth, 11 points off first-team recognition, which went to Nacua, Smith-Njigba and the Cincinnati Bengals\u2019 Ja\u2019Marr Chase.Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (Alabama) had 22 first-place votes and 79 points to finish third. The AP Defensive Player of the Year for the 2024 season and a first-team All-Pro selection in 2022 and 2024, Surtain received the same number of first-team votes as the Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 Quinyon Mitchell but came up five points short of first-team recognition. Mitchell got 18 second-place votes to Surtain\u2019s 13 to join Derek Stingley Jr. of the Texans as the first-team cornerbacks.<\/p>\n

Fifteen other players from Alabama high schools and colleges received votes for the All-Pro team:<\/p>\n

Reed Blankenship (West Limestone) of the Philadelphia Eagles had one point to finish tied for 17th at safety.Tyler Booker (Alabama) of the Dallas Cowboys received one first-place vote and had four points to finish sixth at right guard in his rookie season.Brian Branch (Alabama) of the Detroit Lions had two points to finish tied for 13th at safety.Derrick Brown (Auburn<\/a>) of the Carolina Panthers received two first-place votes and had nine points to finish seventh at defensive interior lineman.Nico Collins (Clay-Chalkville) of the Houston Texans had 16 points to finish seventh at wide receiver.Jamel Dean (Auburn) of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers received three first-place votes and had 10 points to finish ninth at cornerback.Landon Dickerson (Alabama) of the Philadelphia Eagles had one point to finish sixth at left guard.Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama) of the Detroit Lions received one first-place vote and had four points to finish sixth at running back. Gibbs also received nine second-place votes at the all-purpose position to finish third.Josh Harris (Auburn) of the Los Angeles Chargers had two points to finish tied for 15th at long snapper.Derrick Henry (Alabama) of the Baltimore Ravens received three first-place votes and had 10 points to finish fifth at running back. Henry also received one second-place vote at the all-purpose position to finish seventh. Josh Hines-Allen (Abbeville) of the Jacksonville Jaguars had two points to finish 11th at edge rusher.Mike Jackson (Spain Park) of the Carolina Panthers received three first-place votes and had 12 points to finish tied for seventh at cornerback.Kamari Lassiter (American Christian) of the Houston Texans received one first-place vote and had 12 points to finish tied for seventh at cornerback.Robbie Ouzts (Alabama) of the Seattle Seahawks had two points to finish seventh at fullback.Quinnen Williams (Wenonah, Alabama) of the Dallas Cowboys received three first-place votes and had 14 points to finish sixth at defensive interior lineman.<\/p>\n
