The Virginia Tech Hokies continue to be productive in the NCAA transfer portal. On Saturday, the Hokies picked up a commitment from former 4-star quarterback Bryce Baker. Baker, who played at North Carolina last season, has four years of eligibility remaining.<\/p>\n
They weren\u2019t done. Later on Saturday, Tech picked up a transfer commitment from Duke wide receiver Que\u2019Sean Brown. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound Brown happens to be from the same high school as Baker in the Winston-Salem area. They were high school teammates at one time.<\/p>\n

Brown redshirted in 2023 and quickly made an impact as a redshirt freshman in 2024, catching 41 passes for 445 yards (10.9 YPR) and two touchdowns. He also served as Duke\u2019s primary punt returner, averaging almost 10 yards per return. In 2025, Brown caught 64 passes for 846 yards (13.2 YPR) and five touchdowns. He averaged 12.9 yards per punt return and returned one for a touchdown.<\/p>\n
Ignore Brown\u2019s size. He is a football player, in the mold of former Hokie Jaylin Lane, who was criminally underused in Blacksburg.<\/p>\n
Brown is a Day 1 starter for the Hokies, likely in the slot. Ayden Greene announced his return, leaving one more starting spot open.<\/p>\n
