Cleveland Browns<\/a> head coach Kevin Stefanski pens a final farewell message to fans of the Cleveland Browns.<\/p>\n

The former head coach has stayed busy after being fired. He\u2019s interviewed with the New York Giants<\/a> on Wednesday, leading quarterback Jaxson Dart to speculate he\u2019ll be the hire there<\/a>. He spoke with the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> on Thursday. He met with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> on Friday. He found some time for Browns fans between interviews.<\/p>\n

Stefanski ran a full-page ad in the Plain Dealer thanking Browns fans for the past six years. Stefanski wrote how much he\u2019ll miss, \u201cThe roars (and barks) from the crowd.\u201d Stefanski signed off with,\u00a0 \u201cI will always be indebted to this city, this community, and you, the fans of the Cleveland Browns.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

As one of the many Browns fans who grew up with the Browns’ return, I feel indebted to Stefanski. He was the first real coach the team had had in 20 years. He turned the Washington Generals of football, an organization so publicly humiliating, into a somewhat functional team. All the while, the specter of Deshaun Watson, including his $250 million contract and 24 credible accusers, haunted Berea.<\/p>\n

Eventually, Stefanski was caught in the blowback from the Watson disaster<\/a>. However, it\u2019s not stopping him from pursuing his next opportunity. He\u2019s scheduled to interview with the Titans, and Falcons over the next few days. He\u2019ll be a head coach again soon.<\/p>\n
