The\u00a0Denver Broncos<\/a> (14-3) are sitting out the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs this weekend with a first-round bye as the AFC’s No. 1 seed. They could learn their opponent for the divisional round as early as today.<\/p>\n The Broncos<\/a> will host the AFC’s lowest advancing seed<\/a> in the divisional round at Empower Field at Mile High on either Saturday, Jan. 17, or Sunday, Jan. 18.<\/p>\n Because the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> (No. 7) are the conference’s bottom seed, they would punch a ticket to Denver if they upset the New England Patriots<\/a> (No. 2) on Sunday Night Football this evening.<\/p>\n If the Chargers lose and the Buffalo Bills<\/a> (No. 6) beat the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> (No. 3), the Broncos would host the Bills<\/a> in the divisional round next weekend. Buffalo and Jacksonville will play at 11:00 a.m. MT today.<\/p>\n If the Chargers and Bills both lose today, Denver will host the winner of the Houston Texans<\/a> (No. 5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> (No. 4) game.
