The Falcons announced Sunday that former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has interviewed for the vacant head coach position in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

Stefanski spent the past\u00a0six\u00a0seasons (2020-25) as\u00a0the\u00a0head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Prior to the Browns, Stefanski spent\u00a014 seasons\u00a0with the\u00a0Minnesota\u00a0Vikings, where he began his NFL coaching career as the\u00a0assistant to the head coach\u00a0in\u00a02006-08.\u00a0Stefanski\u00a0was then promoted to\u00a0assistant quarterbacks coach\u00a0in\u00a02009-13, tight ends coach\u00a0in\u00a02014-15, quarterbacks coach\/interim offensive coordinator\u00a0in\u00a02017-18\u00a0and\u00a0ultimately\u00a0served\u00a0as the\u00a0team\u2019s\u00a0offensive coordinator\u00a0in\u00a02019. Before joining the NFL,\u00a0Stefanski\u00a0served as\u00a0the\u00a0assistant director of football operations at the University of Pennsylvania\u00a0in\u00a02005.<\/p>\n

Despite the woeful state of the Browns, Stefanski remains a well-regarded coach who seemed ultimately to lose his spirit in the face of the overwhelming dysfunction in Cleveland.
