the Seahawks knew that they would be facing either the Rams or the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> pending the latter\u2019s result against the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite losing star tight end George Kittle to an Achilles tear in the first half, the 49ers were able to shock the Super Bowl champions and win 23-19 in Philadelphia. Another incredibly gutsy win by the Niners given all of the injuries on both sides of the ball, and we are freed from the impossibly boring Eagles offense.<\/p>\nYou know the story by now: San Francisco won in Week 1 by a score of 17-13 to spoil Seattle\u2019s season opener at Lumen Field. In the rematch, the Seahawks beat the 49ers 13-3 to win the NFC West and therefore the No. 1 seed. The trilogy will determine who reaches the NFC Championship Game.<\/p>\n
These results also mean that all three NFC West playoff teams are in the conference\u2019s final four, which is fitting.<\/p>\n
