Stefanski, 43, is a two-time AP NFL Coach of the Year and has been a popular candidate for teams looking for a new coach after he was\u00a0fired Monday by Cleveland<\/a>\u00a0with a 46-58 record in six seasons. The\u00a0Tennessee Titans i<\/a>\u00a0nterviewed Stefanski on Saturday after he was interviewed by the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens<\/a>\u00a0on Friday.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Falcons<\/a>\u00a0interviewed Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver on Saturday as they began their search to replace Raheem Morris. Atlanta also interviewed Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde later Saturday.<\/p>\n

The interviews came immediately after the\u00a0team hired Matt Ryan as president of football<\/a>. Ryan is leading the searches for coach and general manager, though he made his final appearance as an NFL analyst for CBS on Sunday’s pregame show before Buffalo’s wild-card playoff win at Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

Ryan said on the broadcast his goal is to help lead the Falcons to make their first playoff appearance since 2017 next season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat’s the vision for where we want to be,\u201d Ryan said. \u201cYou want to be in the mix, in the playoffs. It has been too long there and we’re going to work really hard and find the right people to get us back into that position to be successful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ryan was the Falcons\u2019 starting quarterback from 2008-21 and was the 2016 NFL MVP after leading the team to the Super Bowl. He holds most of the team\u2019s major passing records, including yards, touchdown passes and completions, and he retired following one season with the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n

The Falcons\u00a0fired Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot<\/a>\u00a0after an 8-9 season.
