The Tennessee Titans will be in the market for wide receivers this offseason. General manager Mike Borgonzi will attempt to support rookie quarterback Cam Ward by adding more talent at the pass-catching positions. The situation looming around Calvin Ridley gives the Titans more reasons to surround<\/a> Ward with fresh new options.<\/p>\n

Ridley failed to meet expectations throughout 2025. Inconsistent play was already derailing his season even before he suffered a season-ending fibula injury. The prevailing assumption is that Ridley won’t be back with the Titans in 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Titans could save $13 million by releasing Ridley this offseason. If Borgonzi chooses to exercise that right, the Titans may have a $48 million solution to their wide receiver problem. That’s the expected price tag for Green Bay Packers pending free agent Romeo Doubs, according to Spotrac<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spotrac projects that Doubs will sign a four-year contract worth $48,012,692 million in free agency. That approximates to $12 million per season. That feels like a reasonable contract for Doubs in a bloating wide receiver market.<\/p>\n

Doubs has registered 40-plus receptions in all four of his NFL seasons. During the 2025 regular season, the former Nevada wideout posted a career-high 724 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Titans could use that reliability<\/a> around Ward.<\/p>\n

The Packers may be unwilling to meet Doubs’ asking price. They have a loaded depth chart at wide receiver that includes recent draft picks Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden. Christian Watson is also a pending free agent, and the Packers may be forced to choose between him and Doubs.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the Titans are slated to enter free agency with over $100 million in cap space, according to Over The Cap<\/a>. Doubs’ projected $12 million per year price tag wouldn’t prevent the Titans from making aggressive moves elsewhere. The way contracts are structured nowadays, Borgonzi would reserve the opportunity to limit Doubs’ immediate cap charge.<\/p>\n

Ward will spend the first portion of the offseason rehabbing a throwing shoulder injury<\/a>. When he resumes throwing, the hope is that the Titans will have acquired some better pass catchers than he had at his disposal as a rookie.
