Once an NFL team’s season ends, it is allowed to sign players who did not finish the season on a 53-man roster to reserve\/future contracts. Those players then officially join the 90-man offseason roster when the new league year begins in March.<\/p>\n
Teams often — but not always — use most of their reserve\/future deals for players on their own practice squad. The Denver Broncos<\/a> will sign players to reserve\/future contracts once their season concludes, but every team that’s not in the playoffs can get a head start.<\/p>\n Several former Broncos<\/a> players landed reserve\/future deals with NFL clubs following the conclusion of the 2025 regular season, including running back Blake Watson, who secured a deal with the Tennessee Titans<\/a>. Watson originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis with the Broncos in 2024. He landed on Tennessee’s practice squad<\/a> in September after being cut by Denver with an injury settlement.<\/p>\n Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, tight end Caden Prieskorn signed with the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, defensive lineman Durell Nchami signed with the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam signed with the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> and wide receiver Joaquin Davis signed with the Minnesota Vikings<\/a>.
