Three new players joined Alabama from the Transfer Portal on Monday, and all three fill needs for the Tide.<\/p>\n
First, kicker Lorcan Quinn signed from Marshall. The former Irish soccer player only first started kicking footballs in 2024. In one season with Marshall, he was exceptional, going 21-26, with 4-6 on 50-yarders and being named a 1st team All-Sun Belt kicker. Quinn was recruited on scholarship for the Tide and will be competing with Conor Talty for the starting job for Alabama. Add in long snapper Ethan Stangle and punter Adam Watford (an FCS All-American), and it\u2019s clear that the Alabama coaching staff is looking to improve in the kicking game in 2026.<\/p>\n

Next, wide receiver Noah Rogers joins from NC State. He\u2019s a 3rd year redshirt sophomore who\u2019s been a solid #3 for the Wolfpack the last two seasons, going for about 35 catches for 450 ish yards in both years. He\u2019s an impressively sized 6\u20192\u201d athlete who was the #40 overall player by the 247Sports rankings back in 2023, when he was known as a big-play deep threat and jump ball specialist. The Tide currently only has 5 receivers on the roster, so he\u2019ll likely be an immediate factor.<\/p>\n
Finally, there\u2019s offensive lineman Ty Haywood. Just one year ago, the 5-star tackle had been committed to Alabama for half a year before flipping to Michigan around signing day. At the time, it was mostly reported that the Wolverines had just offered Haywood way more money that Alabama was willing to do, and Haywood\/Alabama amicably parted ways. Well, after redshirting with the Wolverines last year, for whatever reason, things just didn\u2019t work out. Maybe they dropped his funds, or maybe he decided the money wasn\u2019t worth it. Either way, Haywood entered the portal and quickly visited Tuscaloosa again. He was generally considered a 5-star tackle as a recruit, but many thought he could also wind up at guard.<\/p>\n
Alabama\u2019s offensive line depth is perilously thin with 10 players from last year\u2019s roster departing. Haywood will have every opportunity to be a day 1 starter.<\/p>\n
