The Atlanta Falcons<\/a> hit the ground running when the 2025 NFL season ended, making massive changes to their front office and coaching staff just hours after the team’s Week 18 win over the New Orleans Saints<\/a>. Franchise legend Matt Ryan<\/a> is back in Atlanta to help find the team’s next head coach and general manager.<\/p>\n

While the Falcons have been busy looking ahead to 2026, one of the team’s prized undrafted free agents from last season has found a new home. The Washington Commanders<\/a> signed wide receiver Nick Nash<\/a> to a reserve\/future contract on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The former San Jose State standout initially signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. During his final college season, Nash recorded 104 catches for 1,382 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Despite an impressive performance in the 2025 NFL preseason, Nash did not make the Falcons’ 53-man roster out of training camp and spent the entire year on the practice squad. Atlanta passed on signing Nash to a reserve\/future contract last Monday, but the young wideout landed in Washington roughly 24 hours later.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Atlanta signed seven players, including wide receiver Chris Blair and running back Carlos Washington, to reserve\/future contracts. The Falcons also passed on re-signing kicker Lenny Krieg, who landed a reserve\/future contract with New York Jets on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

In other Falcons roster news, nine practice squad players saw their contracts officially expire<\/a> on Monday. That means safety Jordan Fuller, linebacker Eugene Asante and quarterback Kyle Trask are now free agents.<\/p>\n
