Following an impressive 2025 season from Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> quarterback Trevor Lawrence, where does he want to improve heading into the 2026 season?<\/p>\n

During locker cleanout day on Monday, Lawrence said that he would reflect on this offseason and would dive into the tape to decipher specific areas to improve upon.<\/p>\n

But there were a few things that came to mind in the moment for Lawrence as he contemplated the question.<\/p>\n

“There’s a bunch of steps that I took in the right direction this season,” Lawrence said. “I think the consistency, accuracy, pocket movements, I’d say extending plays. Some of those things are improvements that I wanted to make and I did. I think that it’s all those things continuing to refine them and getting better and better.<\/p>\n

Lawrence continued, “Footwork in the pocket, more consistent. I think as the season went on, a couple things maybe got a little sloppy — some of the footwork in the pocket. Continue to improve accuracy, different arm angles just continuing to give guys a chance to get the ball as soon as possible in space so they can go make plays.”<\/p>\n

As the season progressed and Lawrence got more comfortable in Liam Coen’s offense, he really began to make huge strides during the second half of the season.<\/p>\n

As the Jaguars<\/a> put together an eight-game winning streak to close out the regular season, the offense — led by Lawrence — averaged almost 33 points per game during that span.<\/p>\n

Lawrence, specifically, ranked fourth among all quarterbacks in total passing yards in that stretch of games, per PFF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He was also third in yards per pass attempt, second in passing touchdowns, and had the fifth-lowest turnover-worthy play rate. We also saw Lawrence make a lot of plays with his legs.<\/p>\n

Beyond the numbers, Coen pointed out that a lot of the success that Lawrence and the offense had started pre-snap with Lawrence making adjustments to put the offense in the best position possible to succeed.<\/p>\n
