(Atlanta News First) \u2014 The Atlanta Falcons are set to introduce Matt Ryan as the team\u2019s president of football on Tuesday, a new position by team owner Arthur Blank that may have been created solely for the franchise\u2019s greatest quarterback in history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The announcement, scheduled for 11 a.m., can be seen live on Atlanta News First\u2019s television broadcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">&gt;&gt;&gt; ON TV: Atlanta News First &#8211; Free on channel 46 over the air, on Xfinity Comcast, Charter Spectrum, DirecTV and Dish, and YouTube TV.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The team is still searching for its new general manager and head coach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The announcement of Ryan\u2019s hiring last week came after Blank <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2026\/01\/05\/atlanta-falcons-fire-head-coach-raheem-morris\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2026\/01\/05\/atlanta-falcons-fire-head-coach-raheem-morris\/\">fired both Terry Fontenot and Raheem Morris<\/a> from their positions of general manager and head coach, respectively, on Jan. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Terry Fontenot and Raheem Morris were fired only hours after the Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints, finishing with a second consecutive record of 8-9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fontenot and Morris were fired only hours after the Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints, finishing with a second consecutive record of 8-9. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Less than 24 hours later, Blank announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2026\/01\/05\/falcons-elevate-greg-beadles-president-ceo-rich-mckay-promoted-amb-ceo\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2026\/01\/05\/falcons-elevate-greg-beadles-president-ceo-rich-mckay-promoted-amb-ceo\/\">Rich McKay has been replaced<\/a> as president and CEO of the team by team president Greg Beadles. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">MORE FALCONS COVERAGE<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Blank said the president of football \u201cwill set the vision and identity\u201d for the team. When hired, the team\u2019s general manager and head coach will report to Ryan, who, in turn, will report to Blank.<\/p>\n<p>ANF&#8217;s Baillie Burmaster ask Falcons&#8217; owner Arthur Blank what will be different during this round of coach selection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Ryan\u2019s hiring came after the Falcons completed their eighth straight losing season.
