Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku was arrested Sunday for reckless driving in Texas.<\/p>\n

Ezeiruaku\u2019s arrest occurred around 11:54 p.m. Sunday, when a DPS trooper initiated a traffic stop after he observed a vehicle \u201cbeing operated recklessly\u201d on the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway in Plano, Texas, the Texas Department of Public Safety<\/a> announced. <\/p>\n

He was charged with one count of reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor, and was booked into Collin County Jail in McKinney, Texas. He posted a $500 bond and was released. <\/p>\n

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, per DPS.<\/p>\n

Ezeiruaku, a collegiate standout at Boston College, was drafted by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 22-year-old rookie recorded 40 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in 17 games for the Cowboys this season, including nine starts.<\/p>\n

Cowboys officials said Monday the organization was aware of Ezeriuaku\u2019s arrest, but had no comment on the situation, The Dallas Morning News<\/a> reports.
