\u201cSunday Sports Club\u201d podcast<\/a>, Holly explained that Dan sometimes can\u2019t shut off his football switch \u2014 and it happened when he got her a football cake for her 50th birthday last year.<\/p>\n\u201cLast year was my 50th birthday and he got me a cake and it was sweet, but it was Honolulu blue,\u201d Holly told host Allison Kuch, referring to Detroit\u2019s\u00a0team color.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am like, \u2018I have been on this earth for 50 years and it is my 50th birthday and I have to have a football\u00a0cake. I think it had footballs on it. It was a very good cake, but I\u2019m like, \u2018Really, does everything have to revolve around it?\u2019, \u201d she quipped.<\/p>\n
Both Holly and Kuch \u2014 who\u2019s married to NFL Network analyst and former NFL defensive end Isaac Rochell \u2014 laughed over the cake story and dove into their shared experience of being in the NFL world.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
When asked if she has a \u201cno football zone\u201d at home, Holly said, \u201cI don\u2019t know if I have a specific [time where I would say] \u2018There is no football allowed in this situation ever.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cBut there have been plenty of times where he\u2019s talking and talking and we\u2019re on a date or we\u2019re doing something, and I\u2019m like,\u00a0\u2018Can we just talk about anything other than football? Anything at all.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoy talking about football. Because you know, then they get all \u2014 if you hurt their feelings they get all poopy.\u201d <\/p>\n
Holly and Dan tied the knot in 1999, the same year the Giants selected him in the third round of the NFL draft. <\/p>\n
She\u2019s been his \u201crock\u201d ever since, supporting him through 10 years as a player, before he moved on to coaching.<\/p>\n
Dan was first an assistant coach for the Miami Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints before he became head coach of the Lions in 2021. <\/p>\n
They have two children, Cody and Piper.<\/p>\n
