We continue to do the work required to make informed, responsible, long-term decisions for our fans and our organization.”

That survey comes as Indiana lawmakers prepare to roll out the red carpet for the team.

“The San Francisco 49ers, they play in Santa Clara, and that’s about an hour south of San Francisco, so it’s not out of the norm,” Rep. Marlin Stutzman, who represents the state’s third Congressional district, said.

While NBC Chicago reported Monday that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had toured the Arlington Heights site with Bears CEO Kevin Warren, multiple reports indicate that the duo also toured multiple locations in Indiana.

Sources tell NBC Chicago that Hammond could be a potential landing spot for the Bears, with land surveyors evaluating a site near Wolf Lake. The team could also potentially locate their stadium near the Hard Rock Casino in Gary, according to sources.

“I’m sure the Bears are looking for a place they are welcomed, and that is good not only for the fans, but also the organization,” Stutzman said. “I know for a fact that we will compete with any state in the country in Indiana.”

In Illinois, Gov. J.B. Pritzker discussed where the state was in talks with the Bears.

“They just recently told us what their needs are, and then the question is how can the state meet those infrastructure needs,” he said. “One thing I’m optimistic about in this regard, is some of the infrastructure needs the Bears are identifying as their needs are actually needs of the area around Arlington Heights.”

It remains unclear where the Bears will ultimately build their stadium, and negotiations remain ongoing even as the team continues its playoff run.

The possibility of a Chicago Bears stadium in Indiana has been put in front of season-ticket holders in…

[2070
374,10655,692,391,2493,7,6
0":"post-675294","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-chicago-bears","8":"tag-bears","9":"tag-bears-stadium","10":"tag-chicago","11":"tag-chicago-bears","12":"tag-chicagobears","13":"tag-football","14":"tag-nfl
["GET
