Burrow is expressing his disappointment – with a sarcastic tone – that his team is slated to head to Baltimore to face the AFC North rival Ravens for a prime-time game for the fourth straight season.<\/p>\n
“Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn’t ideal,” Burrow said following his team’s OTAs workout Tuesday.\u00a0“Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati next year. Please.”<\/p>\n
Call that a “rip.” Call it a “beg.” It’s both.<\/p>\n
Burrow’s critics (and the Ravens, for sure) might suggest that the Bengals simply haven’t been good enough in their matchups with Baltimore … and that therefore maybe they should take their lumps and shut up.<\/p>\n

And indeed …<\/p>\n
-On Oct. 9, 2022, the Bengals lost on Sunday Night Football to the Ravens, 19-17.<\/p>\n
-On Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, Cincinnati lost 34-20 at Baltimore, with Burrow exiting early due to a season-ending wrist injury.<\/p>\n
-On Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, the Bengals lost to the Ravens, 35-34.<\/p>\n
And now, here we go again …<\/p>\n
-On Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, for a Thanksgiving night national treat, Cincinnati is headed back to Baltimore.<\/p>\n
For the fourth straight time.<\/p>\n
Is this unfair? Let’s note that divisional foes play one another twice a year, so the Ravens are also playing a game at Cincy this season, as they do annually. Does it matter that in the home-and-home series, it’s the Ravens who get to play at night?<\/p>\n
Frankly, we’re not sure why it matters. But the scores tell a story.<\/p>\n
