With the New York Giants<\/a> searching for their next head coach, the man they fired has offered the team a suggestion.<\/p>\n

New York canned Brian Daboll in the middle of the season after he suffered a third-straight losing campaign.<\/p>\n

His record of 20-40-1 was more than demanding of a re-set, but Daboll now appears to have suggested a new target to go after.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Ian O’Connor of The Athletic, Daboll personally phoned up former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh to advocate on behalf of the Giants.<\/p>\n

The report indicates that Daboll hinted to the former Baltimore man that a partnership with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart could prove to be fruitful.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh was the second-longest actively tenured head coach in the NFL right before he was fired for missing the playoffs.<\/p>\n

At 18 seasons, Harbaugh was only behind Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin for the longest tenure at one team. Tomlin himself has since been fired from his post.<\/p>\n

The Ravens lost the final game of the season to the Steelers on a missed field goal to shut them out of the postseason.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh has begun to line up interviews as he ponders his future among the eight other NFL teams that are in search of coaches.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to the Giants, Ravens and Steelers, the Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders are all looking for new coaches.<\/p>\n

So far, Harbaugh has only set up an interview with Atlanta – which was completed on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
