When Steve Bisciotti sought out Lamar Jackson’s opinion on whether to move on from John Harbaugh, Jackson said the Ravens “probably” needed to make changes, but that it was more up to the Ravens owner and General Manager Eric DeCosta.<\/p>\n
“Well, your opinion matters,” Bisciotti told Jackson.<\/p>\n
So, when it comes to who the next Ravens head coach will be, Bisciotti is going to keep asking his star quarterback for input.<\/p>\n
DeCosta is already texting with Jackson after every head coach interview, relaying his notes and “getting some opinions from Lamar.” Once the Ravens whittle down the list to their finalists, Bisciotti wants Jackson to attend in-person.<\/p>\n
“I said to Lamar last night, when they call me up from Florida, you better get your ass up here, too,” Bisciotti said Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Bisciotti even offered his private plane to Jackson to fly him to Baltimore to participate in the full-day meetings, where candidates will sit down with multiple departments at the Under Armour Performance Center.<\/p>\n
DeCosta, President Sashi Brown, and Executive Vice President Ozzie Newsome are leading the Ravens’ search committee. They would make sure Jackson is a stop along the way, as Baltimore wants to build a connection between their two-time MVP and new head coach.<\/p>\n
“[DeCosta is] going to offer you the same luxury,” Bisciotti said. “And I said, ‘I hope you take it.’ And [Jackson] said, ‘Yes, sir.
