After the Eagles lost in the first round of the playoffs, they were quick with their decision to look for a new offensive coordinator. It wasn\u2019t immediately clear if Kevin Patullo would ultimately be leaving the organization, or if he was just removed from his role, but either way, they need a new playcaller.<\/p>\n
It was good that Nick Sirianni, and assuredly Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie, made the decision quickly, because there\u2019s already nine head coaching vacancies throughout the NFL and there\u2019s going to be a lot of candidates to sort through.<\/p>\n
Reports emerged mere hours after the news broke about Patullo, with one from Josina Anderson suggesting the team will be prioritizing former Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury and former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski \u2014 both are expected to nab head coaching jobs this cycle, but if not, those two would be among the candidates.<\/p>\n
As Anderson noted, those two are among others that will get a good look from the Eagles, and some other names thrown around have included Brian Daboll and Todd Monken. Daboll has a lot of connections in Philly, and has worked with both Sirianni and QB Jalen Hurts over the course of his career. Monken is a top choice for some fans based on what he was able to do with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry in Baltimore, and the fact that as an older coach, he may not be looking for his next opportunity one season away.<\/p>\n
