WBTV reports<\/a> the suspects \u2014 35-year-olds Naim Stroman-El and Anthony Canada \u2014 face at least 20 counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, among other charges.<\/p>\n The alleged break-ins happened around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the parking lots near Cedar Street behind Bank of America Stadium.<\/p>\n Police said a caller reported seeing three men from a rooftop as they broke into multiple vehicles. The witness described their car as an older white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, and just minutes later, officers spotted it on Trade Street as it entered Interstate 77.<\/p>\n When officers got behind the car, they reported that the passenger-side door swung open and three people ran from the vehicle. K-9 units eventually located and apprehended two of the suspects, Stroman-El and Canada, inside a construction site along Northerly Road. As of this writing, the third suspect has not been found.<\/p>\n Police said a search of Stroman-El and Canada\u2019s vehicle recovered one gun, confirmed to have been stolen from a victim\u2019s car, along with a large amount of other property.<\/p>\n Transit security reported that three to five more guns were spotted on the side of the road near Trade and Cedar Street \u2014 possibly discarded from Stroman-El and Canada\u2019s vehicle \u2014 and were picked up by a group of teenagers who then ran off.<\/p>\n According to the affidavit, four firearms were confirmed to have been stolen from at least 24 cars involved in the alleged break-ins.<\/p>\n Feel more informed, prepared, and connected with WIS.
