The Miami Dolphins are clearing house this offseason, and their latest move has just been made.<\/p>\n
The Dolphins have just fired assistant general manager Marvin Allen, as per Dianna Russini on X.<\/p>\n
Allen worked as assistant GM since 2019, serving under ex-general manager Chris Grier for his entire tenure with the team. It\u2019s unclear how much influence Allen had on the team, but he was with the team through the entire \u201cTank for Tua\u201d era, from stripping the team of assets in 2019, to drafting Tua in 2020, hiring McDaniel in 2022, and so on and so forth.<\/p>\n
The theme of Miami\u2019s offseason seems to be getting rid of any player, coach, and staff member who worked closely with Grier. Allen is the third member of Grier\u2019s staff to be fired, after co-directors of player personnel Adam Engroff and Anthony Hunt were let go just 10 days after Grier himself was fired in November of 2025.<\/p>\n
With new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan now in charge, one of his first orders of business will be filling the holes left behind by Grier\u2019s staff. With the draft just months away, expect most of the changes to be filled after the fact.
