The Detroit Lions<\/a> are scheduled to interview Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport<\/a>. Robinson spent the last two seasons as the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> offensive coordinator, but his status has been up in the air since the team fired head coach Raheem Morris.<\/p>\n

The Lions fired offensive coordinator John Morton at the start of the offseason and are looking for someone who can recapture the magic they had under Ben Johnson. While Robinson was frequently criticized for Atlanta’s inconsistency and poor third-down performance, he has familiarity with Lions quarterback Jared Goff.<\/p>\n

Robinson served as the assistant quarterbacks coach and assistant wide receivers coach for the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> in 2019 and 2020 before Goff was traded to the Lions in 2021. According to Rapoport, Robinson is flying out to interview with Detroit on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Falcons offense ranked 24th in points per game (20.8) last season but finished top 10 in rushing yards with 125.8 per contest.<\/p>\n
