ESPN\u2019s Dan Graziano<\/a>, Cleveland\u2019s next head coach will be Mike McDaniel and it makes a ton of sense for multiple reasons. The biggest one being that he\u2019s incredibly innovative when it comes to the offensive side of the ball.<\/p>\n\u201cCleveland\u2019s perpetually challenging quarterback situation could make this job a tough sell, but McDaniel is quirky, creative and confident. And he had success in a challenging QB situation during his first two seasons in Miami. It\u2019s not tough to imagine the Browns\u2019 front office wanting to tap into McDaniels\u2019 ideas about how to design and run an offense.\u201d<\/p>\n
His entire gameplan would be centered around two things that the Browns\u2019 offense has been missing for some time now.<\/p>\n
Not only does this ideology consistently produce explosive plays when it comes to a schematic standpoint on the field, but it would coerce the offensive staff to make some major changes to the roster going forward. McDaniel played a huge role in bringing speedy playmakers like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De\u2019Von Achane to Miami since 2022 and it\u2019s safe to say that it\u2019s paid off in terms of overall offensive success.<\/p>\n
If McDaniel actually ends up being the hire, expect Cleveland to bring incredibly active in the wide receiver market this offseason and in the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
