After six seasons with Kevin Stefanski, the Cleveland Browns<\/a> decided to make a change at head coach.<\/p>\n

The search for Stefanski’s replacement is well underway, with the Browns showing interest<\/a> in a number of candidates already.<\/p>\n

One coach the Browns have not interviewed or requested to interview<\/a> is Seattle Seahawks<\/a> offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. Despite that, Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein<\/a> predicts Kubiak will land in Cleveland.<\/p>\n

“Klint Kubiak\u00a0is a bright, young offensive mind who will bring the highly coveted Shanahan-McVay system to Cleveland,” Epstein said. “His schematic advantage will help compensate for the dearth of offensive talent on Cleveland\u2019s roster, while the chance to team up with long-established defensive coordinator (and previous head coach) Jim Schwartz will free up Kubiak to continue calling plays in the role.”<\/p>\n

Kubiak is widely viewed as one of the hottest head-coach candidates in this cycle and is drawing interest from multiple teams, so there will be competition for his services.<\/p>\n

A three-time offensive coordinator, Kubiak’s best work came in Seattle this season, when he oversaw an offense that was among the league’s best despite a lot of turnover on that side of the ball.<\/p>\n

Under Kubiak, the Seahawks ranked third in points per game<\/a>, 10th in rushing yards and eighth in passing yards, which helped propel Seattle to the No. 1 seed.<\/p>\n

Given the fact that Kubiak has had two other offensive coordinator jobs, that would typically be a cause for concern, especially given the fact he was one-and-done with both the New Orleans Saints<\/a> and Minnesota Vikings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, it was really just bad timing, as Kubiak came aboard in the final years of the tenures of Mike Zimmer with the Vikings and Dennis Allen with the Saints.<\/p>\n

Whether it’s Shedeur Sanders or someone else, the Browns figure to move forward with a young signal-caller in 2026, so it would make sense to hire an offensive-minded coach like Kubiak.<\/p>\n
