Four NFL playoff games are set to take place this weekend. The Denver Broncos<\/a> are hosting the Buffalo Bills<\/a>, the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> are taking on the San Francisco 49ers<\/a>, the New England Patriots<\/a> are facing the Houston Texans<\/a> and the Chicago Bears<\/a> are facing the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winners of these four games will move on to the AFC and NFC Championship Games, respectively.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s computer model, the Football Power Index, has predicted the winner of all four games this weekend:<\/p>\n

Broncos vs. Bills<\/p>\n

Winner: Broncos, 50.7 percent chance<\/p>\n

Seahawks vs. 49ers<\/p>\n

Winner: Seahawks, 59.2 percent chance<\/p>\n

Patriots vs. Texans<\/p>\n

Winner: Patriots, 51.7 percent chance<\/p>\n

Bears vs. Rams<\/p>\n

Winner: Rams, 61.8 percent chance<\/p>\n

How does ESPN’s computer model work?<\/p>\n

ESPN’s computer is a projection-based model.<\/p>\n

“The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule.
