The Carolina Panthers\u2019<\/a> hopes for stability at left tackle took a severe hit when Ikem Ekwonu ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee during a playoff game on January 10. He will earn $17,560,000 for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n Ikem Ekwonu\u2019s Injury Recovery Could Impact Panthers\u2019 Future<\/p>\n Ekwonu\u2019s absence could be lengthy due to a patellar tendon rupture on January 10. According to Jeff Reed of the Associated Press, the recovery timetable<\/a> is estimated at 6 to 12 months post-surgery. If his recovery is on the longer end, he may not take the field for the Panthers again until October at the earliest.<\/p>\n Until then, veteran Yosh Nijman, who filled in following the injury, occupies the top left tackle spot.
