A trio of New England Patriots will be questionable for the divisional round.<\/p>\n
Running back Terrell Jennings, outside linebacker Harold Landry III and cornerback Christian Gonzalez have all been assigned that game designation ahead of the Houston Texans matchup, head coach Mike Vrabel announced during his final press conference<\/a> of the week.<\/p>\n But no member of the AFC East champions has officially been ruled out.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the early, final injury report leading up to Sunday\u2019s 3 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.<\/p>\n The Patriots opened Jennings\u2019 21-day window<\/a> to return as preparations for the divisional round began. The sophomore running back had been placed on injured reserve following the bye week in December due to a concussion. Gonzalez also entered the NFL\u2019s protocol late last weekend, yet the Pro Bowl cornerback has since gone from a red non-contact jersey<\/a> on Wednesday to a full participant, too.<\/p>\n As for the veteran sack leader off the edges for the AFC\u2019s No. 2 seed, Landry has been managing a knee injury since late in the fall and was ruled out for back-to-back games to end the regular season.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re just trying to do everything we can to give him enough time to see how it feels for Sunday,\u201d Vrabel said of the defensive captain, who started and stayed in for 26 snaps in the wild card after finishing 2025 with 8.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 19 quarterback hits.<\/p>\n Elsewhere, corner Alex Austin, recently a full participant while working back from a wrist procedure, will go without a game status as the deadline for his activation<\/a> to the 53-man roster nears with an open spot. And all-purpose nose tackle Khyiris Tonga also stands with the green light to face the Texans after missing the previous three games<\/a> due to a foot injury.<\/p>\n \u201cGreat to have him practice, but what matters is what it\u2019s going to be on Sunday at 3,\u201d New England\u2019s head coach said of Tonga. \u201cI would say that hopefully he can pick up where he left off in his production and what he\u2019s been able to do inside there as an interior, rotational player.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A trio of New England Patriots will be questionable for the divisional round.
