It’s the first year of the club. The UFL will play in three new cities this year — Louisville,
Columbus, Ohio and Orlando.

Snell, 27, had played his entire four-year career in with the Steelers since joining the team as a fourth-round draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He last played in the NFL in 2023 with the Detroit Lions.

Snell’s tenure with Detroit was short. He signed on August 10, 2023 before being released on Aug. 29. He had a workout with the Cleveland Browns in November of 2023 but was never signed.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. (24) dives over Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Chad Muma (48) for a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the first half of an NFL preseason football game, Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, in Jacksonville, Fla.
