Former Tennessee football star wide receiver Jalin Hyatt\u2019s younger brother, Devin Hyatt, has found his new school out of the transfer portal. On Friday, he committed to Miami (Ohio) in the MAC, according to a report<\/a> from Chris Hummer.<\/p>\n

Devin Hyatt played in just two games this past season with Arizona before entering the transfer portal. He caught one pass for 10 yards on the year. In 2024, he played in 12 games, posting seven receptions for 109 yards. He did not play as a freshman in 2023. He was a three-star recruit out of high school, coming from IMG Academy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful to the University of Arizona, my coaches, teammates, support staff, and everyone who has been part of my journey,\u201d Devin Hyatt wrote when entering the portal. \u201cI\u2019ve grown both on and off the field, and I\u2019ll always appreciate the relationships and lessons from my time here. After careful consideration, I\u2019ve decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. I will be entering with three years of eligibility remaining.\u201d<\/p>\n

Devin Hyatt\u2019s older brother, Jalin Hyatt, played three seasons at Tennessee. As a junior in 2022, he put together one of the greatest single seasons in program history. While winning the Biletnikoff Award, handed to the best pass catcher in the country, he recorded 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns on 67 receptions.<\/p>\n

Jalin Hyatt is most remembered for his jaw-dropping performance against Alabama in the 52-49 win during that 2022 season. He caught six passes for 207 yards and five touchdowns in the game.<\/p>\n

Now, Jalin Hyatt is a member of the New York Giants. He has struggled to find consistent time on the field early in his career, though.<\/p>\n

Josh Heupel\u2019s current Tennessee roster isn\u2019t in much need of wide receivers. The Vols are projected to return standout receivers Braylon Staley and Mike Matthews next season. The open spot on the outside, left by Chris Brazzell\u2019s departure, could be manned by second-year players Radarious Jackson or Travis Smith Jr., or incoming five-star freshman Tristen Keys.<\/p>\n

Tennessee did land the commitment of wide receiver and return specialist Gavin Freeman from Oklahoma State out of the portal, but he ultimately signed with Baylor instead.
