{"id":684609,"date":"2026-01-17T17:24:19","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T17:24:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/684609\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T17:24:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T17:24:19","slug":"5-things-to-know-about-nate-scheelhaase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/684609\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Things to Know About Nate Scheelhaase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  He could be next on the Sean McVay coaching tree.<\/p>\n<p>Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay is widely regarded as one of the sharpest offensive minds in football and a great head coach.<\/p>\n<p>Hired at 30 years old, McVay became the youngest head coach in NFL history to go to and win a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Though he still isn&#8217;t 40 years old yet, McVay already has a growing coaching tree that includes offensive-minded head coaches Matt LeFleur (Green Bay Packers), Zac Taylor (Cincinnati Bengals), Kevin O&#8217;Connell (Minnesota Vikings), and Liam Coen (Jacksonville Jaguars).<\/p>\n<p>Scheelhaase could be next, and McVay spoke highly of him in December.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s a great coach,&#8221; <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/rams\/onsi\/los-angeles-why-nate-scheelhaase-could-be-hot-commodity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">McVay said, per SI.com<\/a>. &#8220;He has great leadership, great capacity for the game, similar to a lot of our other great coaches. First and foremost, he has great character. There&#8217;s an ability to be able to connect with all different types.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s an ability to own the game from an all-22 perspective. He&#8217;s excellent. I&#8217;ve really enjoyed working with him. He&#8217;s a great person, first and foremost, and he has a great family.
