It is another year, and another playoff failure for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This was supposed to be “the” year the Bills broke through with no Patrick Mahomes, but they once again stumbled at the divisional stage.<\/p>\n

Now, attention turns to the offseason, and questions have to be asked of head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane, not to mention Josh Allen.<\/p>\n

Will changes be forthcoming?<\/p>\n

For some, yes, and for ESPN’s Ben Solak, Buffalo’s end to the season is an enormous failure.<\/p>\n

“The Bills have now made it to seven consecutive postseasons with Allen at the helm, which means they’ve suffered seven postseason losses,” Solak wrote<\/a>. “Whether fair or unfair, the buck stops at the top, and the fact that the Bills have failed to make a Super Bowl in Allen’s tenure despite seven postseason appearances is an enormous failure.”<\/p>\n

Will Bills change their ways?<\/p>\n

Moving on from a head coach and general manager in the same offseason isn’t something a team with a Hall of Famer quarterback at the helm does. That’s reserved for teams finishing at the bottom year after year.<\/p>\n

But the Bills must now be asking the question.<\/p>\n

Have Beane and McDermott taken this franchise as far as they can?<\/p>\n

McDermott has been with the team for nine years, as has Beane, and they have just two AFC Championship appearances. That’s it.<\/p>\n

After a poor end to the year, things might need to be freshened up.<\/p>\n

If there were a time to cut the cord, that time might have come.<\/p>\n
