Rex Ryan<\/a> hasn\u2019t coached the New York Jets in over a decade, but that didn\u2019t stop Robert Kraft<\/a> from taking a playful jab at his longtime rival.<\/p>\n

The Patriots<\/a> owner appeared on ESPN\u2019s pregame coverage ahead of New England\u2019s AFC Division game<\/a> against the Houston Texans. He sat between former Patriots players Randy Moss and Tedy Bruschi, but took a moment to say something to Ryan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also say this gentleman over here who was the coach of the New York Jets. It\u2019s good to be with you,\u201d Kraft said. \u201cWe always loved to see that smile, and then we did our best to take it away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ryan replied: \u201cYou weren\u2019t kicking anybody\u2019s butt more than you did mine as a coach.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYours was my favorite,\u201d Kraft said.<\/p>\n

Ryan went 3-9 against the Patriots during his time with the Jets. While with the Bills, he went 1-3.<\/p>\n

The 63-year-old interviewed to return<\/a> to his former Jets team<\/a> ahead of the 2025 season, but they went with Aaron Glenn instead.<\/p>\n
