The Baltimore Ravens are searching<\/a> for a new head coach and are set to cast a wide net for the next leader of this gold-standard franchise. Unless an unknown candidate surfaces, the Ravens have completed the first round of interviews of meeting with Joe Brady and Robert Saleh on Sunday.<\/p>\n The two interviews became No. 14 and No. 15<\/a> since John Harbaugh was fired after nearly two decades, with 193 total wins, tying Chuck Knox for the 12th-most by an HC in NFL history.<\/p>\n Saleh came back to the Niners for his second stint as defensive coordinator after getting fired by the Jets, and helped lead San Francisco back to the postseason and a win over the Eagles<\/a> in the wild-card round. Despite his struggles in New York, Saleh is considered to be among the best candidates for the seven open head coaching jobs in the NFL.<\/p>\n Saleh has already interviewed with the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> and Miami Dolphins<\/a> for their open head coaching positions, while he also had interviews scheduled with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> and Tennessee Titans<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n With the 49ers set to play in the NFC wild-card game on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, any team that is granted an interview must wait until Jan. 13 to conduct a virtual interview of up to three hours. If the 49ers advance past the divisional round, interested teams will have to wait until Jan. 26 to conduct any in-person interviews with Saleh if his candidacy advances.<\/p>\n
