The Indianapolis Colts<\/a> seem to know exactly the direction they want to go at quarterback this offseason.<\/p>\n

During head coach Shane Steichen’s end-of-season press conference on Monday, Steichen said that he believes that Daniel Jones will want to come back and that the team would like to have him back.<\/p>\n

Jones is set to be a free agent this offseason.<\/p>\n

It’s easy to see why the Colts<\/a> want Jones back. Through 10 games this season, Jones was playing at a high level and the Colts had one of the most productive offenses in football.<\/p>\n

Jones provided that stability at the quarterback position that the team had been searching for.<\/p>\n

Jones suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14 against Jacksonville. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jones is “expected”<\/a> to be cleared by training camp.<\/p>\n

One potential hurdle that could pop up is negotiating Jones’ next contract with the team while coming off a major injury.<\/p>\n
