The Los Angeles Rams<\/a> and Seattle Seahawks<\/a> will meet for the third time<\/a> this season after splitting the series, 1-1, during the regular season. The Rams won in Week 11, 21-19, while the Seahawks stole one in Week 16, 38-37, in overtime.<\/p>\n

No two teams were more evenly matched than these two NFC West rivals, and it\u2019s fitting that they\u2019ll meet in the conference championship<\/a> to determine which team will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The stats show just how close their two games were during the regular season.<\/p>\n

Field Yates of ESPN reminded us of that, showing that only 1 yard and one point separated the Rams and Seahawks this season in their two meetings. The Rams scored 58 points to the Seahawks\u2019 57, and outgained Seattle by 1 yard, 830 to 829.<\/p>\n

And if you zoom out to the all-time series<\/a>, that’s equally tight. The Seahawks lead it 29-28, outscoring the Rams, 1,223-1,222. Yes, seriously.<\/p>\n

The Rams won a nailbiter over the Seahawks in Week 11, holding off Seattle’s offense in the final moments to force a long field goal, which was missed by Jason Myers. That was in Los Angeles, a pivotal game in the Rams’ season.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks got back at the Rams in Week 16 when the two entered the game tied at 11-3. The Rams blew a 16-point fourth-quarter lead in that one, losing in overtime on a touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba and an ensuing two-point conversion to walk it off.<\/p>\n

If the NFC title game is any bit like their first two meetings, football fans are in for an absolute treat on Sunday.<\/p>\n
