(KCTV) &#8211; As the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kctv5.com\/sports\/nfl\/chiefs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kctv5.com\/sports\/nfl\/chiefs\/\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> look at options to fill their vacant offensive coordinator position, a familiar face could be an early favorite.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">NFL reporter Ian Rapoport <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2013266802143351178?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RapSheet\/status\/2013266802143351178?s=20\">posted <\/a>to social media Monday morning that the Chiefs have requested permission from the Chicago Bears to interview Eric Bieniemy. (AP Photo\/David Zalubowski, File)(David Zalubowski | AP)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bieniemy, who served as the Chiefs\u2019 offensive coordinator from 2018-2022, was the running backs coach for the Bears this past season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In his final season with Kansas City, Bieniemy helped the Chiefs lead the league in scoring (29.2 points per game), according to his Bears bio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After leaving the Chiefs, Bieniemy was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders in 2023, and he held the same title for UCLA in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 KCTV.
